Akari Lighting & Technology Corporation, through the Kabayan Special Patrol segment on TV Patrol, once again answered the call of providing solar-powered LED lanterns to off-grid communities in the Philippines. This time, 200 families from Brgy. Kuya, Sitio Benuan, South Upi, Maguindanao benefitted from Noli de Castro’s public service program aiming to reach out to far-flung schools and communities deprived of electricity in Mindanao.
With Akari’s CSR donation, Brgy. Kuya stands to benefit from LED rechargeable solar lanterns Philippines that can be powered through solar charging technology — providing a clean, dependable, and sustainable lighting solution for rural households without access to the power grid.
Along with Kabayan, Akari Philippines is hopeful that this initiative will ignite the students’ persistence toward education despite the challenges of living in electricity-deprived communities in the Philippines. By delivering solar-powered lighting for remote schools and barangays, Akari continues to build on its long-standing commitment to community development and social responsibility in the Philippines.
This donation is part of Akari’s broader mission of bringing energy-efficient and affordable lighting solutions to underserved Filipino communities — one barangay at a time — and underscores the brand’s role as a trusted lighting brand for community empowerment in the Philippines.
